Matches have very low weight, but still, it takes your inventory weight. Not like any ammunition like buckshot or 7.62, though.

I used to take into account the weight of certain objects. I have abandoned the current system to see if I can do better soon. It's not very clear in the current system what the weight of the objects is.
On the other hand if you have to be realistic. It will make it unmanageable.
For example, have you ever carried a car battery? On average between 20 and 30 kg. This would be the only item that could be put in an inventory.

So we will have to see in the future. In any case, don't worry, it's not a bug. The main interest of this system was not to have a quantity of ammunition out of the ordinary and resources forcing the uselessness of having a base to build in order to store.
