I remember there being a DayZ type add-on for Gmod called Zmod which kinda just disappeared off the face of the workshop one day. Does anyone know what happened to it? It was my favourite add-on to play cause you could craft stuff and if im not mistaken, new weapons and such were added as well.

A question I see all the time that I can answer. Zmod evolved into Zworld Afterlife. Zmod represented several years of work for the author, but other unscrupulous devs stole the source code and shared it in exchange for contributions, very poor quality copies were made, the same people looking for sensationalism managed to write about the creator's reputation to discredit him.

Zmod's name had then been deposited by one of his filthy individuals met on Gmod and was offered for sale to Nordahl at an astronomical sum, thinking Nordahl would buy it. Nordahl then gave up the name Zmod for Zworld, so the source code of this gamemode that was free until then became private. People booed him without knowing the story, but his friends supported him.

And the nice surprise is that his bad people are the same ones who had fun making trouble for him on Gmodstore.

I've already heard that the source code of Zmod will be put on Originahl-Scripts.com, this information is confirmed. Due to a lot of requests to downgrade Zworld to be as Zmod 2013 was sent.

Zmod is still more appreciated today than Zworld by its simplicity, but the Zworld project looks like what Zmod should have been. With 7 years of development and work aside.

If you like my article, leave me a reaction and share it. Thank you. ๐Ÿ™‚
