My idea is as follows: A metal wall. Immune to bullets, melee weapons, zombies. One wall can have about 500-600hp, Crafting is very simple: Hammer, 50-100 nails, 10 metal plates, 5 metal. (10 engineer skill level,) The metal wall can be broken by frag grenades, shots from a rocket launcher. The question may arise, and then why do we need wooden buildings - the answer is also simple, metal buildings will need to be constantly repaired, unlike wooden ones, and the metal is very noticeable, oh and yes, you will not be able to improve metal buildings.
