Almost 2 years since I lost my first journal... 2 years since the Dam. Well... Here I am now. Alive and kicking. Ship was falling apart and I had to dock, unfortunately about 20 minutes after docking, horde showed up. I'm in the outer canals now. Lost all my shit... Well, starting back from the bottom. Night 1. Not much. Just some odd sounds in the distance as well as gunshots. I was able to find a building to hunker down in for the night. The other day, I heard a broadcast from someone who sounded like my brother... Now that I think about it? I saw the building overrun and a mangled body... For all I know, he could still be alive. I'm gonna keep an eye out. Day 2. I found someone. I was a bit unsure about them but they turned out to be a decent fellow. They started setting up a base in one of the old medical tents from when people started showing signs of infection. Back then? We didn't even know what it was... Well, on the bright side, we're stocked and prepared for hordes. Night 2. I spent most of the night collecting equipment for the base. Nails, Screws, some food, buckets for water. Luckily by the time I returned, a horde showed up. Glad to have helped take them down before they could overwhelm the base. Or, hell. Maybe the group had it under control. Either way, one added person means less rounds fired. Day 3. More scav work. Though we ran into a few boars. Been a hot minute since I had a decent steak, luckily mom taught me well. I cooked mine to be medium well. I always said I preferred Well Done, but now? I prefer that soft pink. Retains a fair bit of flavor. Well, more people showed up. We're getting more folk around here from the looks of it. Finally, another chance at a community. If Rudy and Milk could see me now! Hope they're alright, wherever they are. Night 3. Been sleeping calmly for once. Never really got used to the constant swaying of the ship. For once, I feel relaxed and calm.
